“How much for a puppy”?

For the ones who say they can only afford a couple hundred dollars. The person who calls hearing a price surprisedly states: “I can buy a cheaper pup elsewhere“. I also address you; the person who doesn’t care about papers cause I want “just a pet”.

No dog is “just a pet”

Behind every pure bred puppy/dog is a BREEDER. I’m using capitol letters to differentiate a breeder from a pet factory or mill. A reputable breeder does not breed dogs without papers, that does not protect the integrity of the breed. Registration (papers) are records of lineage that document bloodline and allow one to research any possible health issues present in the lineage. When you tell a breeder you don’t care about papers what your really telling them is you couldn’t careless about the health of the puppy you just want the cheapest thing you can find! When you select to buy a puppy from a reputable and quality breeder, this breeder is responsible for the health of every pup; both dogs owned and every pup they have sold for its lifetime. This breeder will skip holidays, miss sleeping, and most of their personal house space has been turned into space for the dogs. The truly passionate breeder who loves what they breed, puts their whole heart and soul into it. Not only in puppies that are sold, but also in each client that owns a piece of their heart and is now a part of their extended family. This does not take into account any puppy/dog who might get sick or need help to survive. Breeders worry about their babies after they leave and will take one back without hesitation.

A breeder will get their hands dirty, often covered in everything accompanied with birthing. Because that’s what life is all about....In the middle of birth and death is life. The wheel that keeps turning. A breeder will do tests,echos,analysis,xrays,emergency c sections, size/weight appropriate vaccinations, register litters, research pedigrees, deworm as well as providing resources recommended species diet information, and have them evaluated by a veterinarian before placement.

Last but by no means least, a breeder CHOOSES the family lucky enough to own one of their puppies Yes, you read that right. A true breeder chooses who they sell to because they are not making money off the sale. There is no compensation that can offset the investment a Breeder has made so they need to be confident it’s the right fit. Many times saying more no’s then yes...A good breeder will have different criteria for those wanting to carry on their bloodline, why? Because breeding is a responsibility to never be taken lightly. It’s a lifestyle choice set aside for ONLY the few devoted people willing to sacrifice.

Because a dog is never “just a pet” it’s the breeders legacy, a little boys best friend, a little girls protector, a elderly persons therapy, a member of the family, someone’s whole world!!!! Now HOW MUCH IS YOUR PUPPY WORTH?

About our babies

All our babies are sold to approved pet homes only. We require proof after 8 to 12 months that your puppy has been spayed or neutered as it states in our contract. We do not negotiate on price. Our puppies are $3500 to $4000. Everyone of our puppies are raised with the most loving care, and raised in a very clean and healthy home. Our puppies stay with their mom for 10 to 12 weeks. We do not budge on this. This is for the health of the puppy. All our dogs are AKC registered and Genetically tested to ensure healthy puppies. They will be taken to the vet at 8 weeks for a health exam and their first puppy shot before leaving for their new forever home. Your puppy will be bathed and groomed. A goodie bag will accompany your puppy with things that will be needed to start his or her life with their new pet parents. A copy of his or her shot record, a health certificate, a copy of the health guarantee, a spayed and neutered contract, and a bill of sale will be given to the new pet parents at time of pick up. If you decide to pick your puppy up we will have you meet us at our vets office and not our home. This will not only protect us, but will protect you also. If you choose for us to deliver your puppy there will be a flat rate fee for travel expenses. We ask that we meet you at a vets office of your choosing. If a puppy is to be delivered by air travel he or she must be accompanied by our nanny service at an extra fee. Interested pet parents always ask me how much the puppy will weigh when they are full grown. None of my Maltese are over six pounds. Even though I can’t give an exact answer I can tell you that most of my pups at full grown weight are from 4 to 6 pounds with an average weight of 5 pounds. You can always look at the mom and dad as an Indication. I always post the mom and dad and their weights with their litter so you can get an idea.

Delivery Charges

Here at Marisol’s Maltese we charge each person an individual price depending on location. The delivery price will always be separate from the price of the puppy you are purchasing. We offer a nanny service if your puppy is to be delivered. My husband delivers all my pups because I only trust him with my precious babies. Price will vary depending on air fare or driving distance and your location. We are located in Cape Coral Florida and have an excellent Nanny service
